Classroom Corner: March 10th
Through the use of body, voice, and imagination the students were able to 'act' out a specific conflict, and then act out a solution to their conflict. Students were encouraged to take bold and truthful risks to demonstrate the real ways they deal with conflict. Some students punch, some students yell, some student cry - each student can begin to understand why this is their coping method. Students partnered with other participants to explore a challenging situation, each group then used Image Theatre to show how that conflict made them feel. Through talking, acting, and laughing, students are able to connect both the mind and body to effectively resolve conflict.
